The City Mayor, who only grants truck parking rights in Manhattan streets to production companies, was made to believe that Cole is really on a film shoot project for a full-length movie entitled “Birth of a Shoe Company”.

With Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. painted on the trailer truck, Cole hit Manhattan’s 6th Avenue and began his street sale venture for the first time. Staging the shoe sale as a film shoot, he brought along with him a camera and pseudo-film director and some models to play as cameo actresses.

And the main stars of the movie? Well, the trendy pairs of shoes that fully occupied the 40-feet trailer truck took the main spotlight.

Apparently the pseudo-film shoot turned out to be an epic movie as Cole’s shoe street sale became a major blockbuster hit selling out 40,000 pairs of shoes in just two and a half days.
